In the newsletter, we wish to share a pictorial review of the 53rd Collier Family Reunion, which was held in Richmon, VA on August 18-20, 2006. It was truly an event that carried us "Back to Ole Virginny".
In the highlights presented here, our Reunion emphasized multiple-family gatherings over 2 ½ days with a variety of activities, which included special meetings, fun events like bowling and dancing, family history, Rededication of the Plaque and Presentation of the Signature Quilt, as well as reconnection with the past and contact with the future through our Gravesite Ceremony and Insertion of the Time Capsule.
All events were well attended: Bowling Party (42), Ice Cream Social and Movie (50), Senior Roundtable Discussion (35), Kings Dominion (27), Gravesite/Time Capsule Ceremony (70), Saturday Night Dinner Party (90), and Sunday Morning Family Breakfast (90).
The Collier Family Reunion wishes to thank all who made this Reunion a tremendous success. A special thanks goes to the members of the Executive Commitee: Don Collier, Clara Jeffries, Sue Walker, Hawthorne and Joyce Byrd, Myrtle Collier, Glenn and Naomi Barbara Harker, Joseph Collier, Magalean Walker, Jonathan Byrd, Gloria Francis and Dorothy McGee.
